8th Grade Parent Night
8th Grade Parent night will be on Thursday, February 13th at 7:00pm in the OCHS Band Room. Students who want to share about their experience in band that evening to the incoming parents and 8th graders please see Mr. Rogers.
Band Booster Meetings
Band Booster meetings have been moved to Thursdays. The February meeting will be Thursday, February 20th. We hope to see you there!
Band Booster Leadership Positions
It’s that time of year to begin thinking about next school year and the leadership of the OCHS Band Boosters. The following Board positions will be open for the 2020- 2021 school year.

- Vice President
- Secretary
- Treasurer – This position needs immediate attention for someone to shadow our current treasurer.

Uniform Coordinator
We will need a uniform coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. If you would be interested in this position and would like to shadow our current coordinator to see what this position involves, please contact Melanie Woosley at [email protected].
All State
We will leave for all state on Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. Students will ride the bus into Louisville (along with our one orchestra and our choir members) and be dropped off at the Galt House (with Mrs. R to help them get into their rooms, to lunch, etc.). The reason for leaving so early is to allow sharing of one bus with the choir and orchestra folks who start a bit earlier, although it gets us there very early for what band folks need to do.
Housing at all state is covered by the band; Students will be responsible for their own meal expenses while there; I will meet with them and make some suggestions to help them get through it with a minimum of expense.
Tickets for the Saturday concerts: $15.00 per person, general admission through the Kentucky Center for the Arts ticket office; online purchase will incur a small handling fee. Good for the Orchestra and Band concerts (four total), beginning at 1:00 p.m.
