Band Booster Leadership Positions
It’s that time of year to begin thinking about next school year and the leadership of the OCHS Band Boosters. The following Board positions will be open for the 2020- 2021 school year.
President Vice President Secretary Treasurer – This position needs immediate attention for someone to shadow our current treasurer and commit so transition into next year will be smooth. If you would be interested in stepping into any of these positions or would simply like to know more about what they involve, please contact Lana Downs at [email protected].
Uniform Coordinator We will be in need of a uniform coordinator for the 2020-2021 school year. If you would be interested in this position and would like to shadow our current coordinator to see what this position involves, please contact Melanie Woosley at [email protected].
Keeping up with Information For the students, nearly “all things band” are being posted on Google Classroom – Theory Assignments, announcements, schedules, etc. – along with Remind Notices and Eboard. Even attendance at after school rehearsals is being taken using Google Forms. All items of information that parents need is channeled through the Band Booster Emails and the Parent Remind. It’s very important that you help your student stay current by asking them: “What’s going on with band this week?" If they are not sure, please encourage them to check these very important means of communication.
Pep Band Games Make sure your student attends their assigned Pep Band Games. The schedule for each band has been out for quite some time. Students are expected to attend their assigned games and receive performance credit for it. Beyond that, they can come to any other games they wish to play. Tournament Games are on a volunteer basis.
